Product Description

A flavourful 18-year-old whisky from Glen Scotia, one of only three remaining distilleries in Campbeltown. This single malt, introduced in September 2017 and finished in oloroso sherry casks, offers abundant notes of sea spray, vanilla toffee and spiced fruits. The finish lingers, with spiced raisin and a touch of honeyed nuttiness.

Award-winning whisky

Glen Scotia 18 Year Old won a gold medal in the prestigious 2020 World Spirits Competition in San Francisco. The competition is renowned for its high standards, and not only did the 18 Year Old — and indeed all of Glen Scotia’s entries — scoop a gold, but Glen Scotia 25 Year Old was awarded a platinum medal, signifying that it had been awarded the top-flight double-gold medal for three consecutive years.

About Glen Scotia

Founded in 1832, Glen Scotia has established itself as one of Campbeltown’s best producers and helped the region become one of Scotland’s whisky-producing giants. Soon after Glen Scotia was founded there was a boom of whisky production in the town, and in 1835 it was one of 29 distilleries operating in Campbeltown. However, what goes up must come down, and by 1929 only three distilleries were left, Glen Scotia among them. It’s had a few brief closures since then, but today Glen Scotia remains not only operational but a much-loved bastion of the region’s classic style.

    Matthew,

I have tried Campbelltown whisky before and it didn't rock my boat but this 18 year old Glen Scotia did. This edition didn't disappoint, a lovely smooth floral whisky worth every penny.

    j.r.,

Glen Scotia produced some great whiskey. I tried three different bottlings and this one was not at the best. The 18 year old cask strength is outstanding as is the 26 year cask strength. For some reason, only the stronger versions seem to be really good for Glen Scotia.
