    I bought two bottles of this wonderful scotch back in 2012 and it shipped to the states. It was by far the best tasting and smoothest scotch I had ever tasted. The price however was much more reasonable back then. I have since found a wonderful 12 year old single malt from another distillery that is my go to scotch that is quite tasty but is far less expensive.

    We bought a few bottles 20 years ago in Dufftown and still enjoy it very much, our favourite malt. They told us at that time that most of its production goes into Johnny Walker's Black Label, probably that's why we love this blend very much too. At a distillery, was it Dewar's (?), we saw shelves full of this Mortlach 16 and therefore did not believe that it could be difficult to be purchased, as it is today - very sad! We keep the last bottle as a treasure.

    Introduced to me at the Road Hole Hotel in St Andrews by the bartender when asked for a local scotch that wasn’t sold on America. He never hesitated and pulled the Mortlach 16 Flora and poured a sample for me. I spent the rest of the night finishing the bottle, and the next day after being told it was being discontinued went to the local liquor store and bought three bottles to being home. That was 10 years ago. I still drink the Scotch and shared it with friends, and it is unquestionably a great whiskey.

    I chair a 20 member whisky club and the Mortlach 16 yo Flora & Fauna was part of a recent Flora & Fauna series tasting (5 different ones). Member were very impressed with the Mortlach - its body, complexity of nose & palate length of finish. Seven of us were so impressed by it we clubbed together to buy a bottle and distribute it amongst ourselves in 100 ml bottles thus avoiding seven bottles at £200 each. Highly recommended.

    Best scotch I’ve had. Better than Mortlach 18 or 25. Bad mistake to discontinue. I wish they’d bring it back
