I was visiting Scotland with a friend who was born there. Almost started a fight in the pub when I asked what was the best whisky in Scotland. Settled the argument by agreeing to buy of bottle of The Antiquary and a bottle of Glen Morangie before I left for home.

I have been drinking Antiquary on and off since the seventies and for a blended whisky I always thought it had a very nice taste. This is the first time I have tried the twelve year old and I have to say I although it is very nice I do prefer the six year old as it is a much lighter flavour.

Though not bad this really does taste like a dulled down Teachers. Bottle looks good on the shelf but taste this next to Teachers, is it really worth the extra cash!

Excellent! It's been my favourite ever since I discovered it. So smooth and warm . . . I'm envious of people who've never tasted it – they've got great pleasure to look forward to!

I like it very much, in my opinion it's way better than JW Black Label.

This is a wonderful whisky. Subtle, sweet and smooth. My favourite.

Very impressed here plenty of flavour is smooth until you swallow then it warms you as it goes down, the price is way too low, this worth buying to impress at dinner parties complex enough to make peole think its expensive especially with the bottle presenation

This time of year when its cold outside the Antiquary is just right for sitting in front of the fire and letting each sip warm you through, lovely light aroma, mmmmmm.

First had a sip of this when I was about 12 with my dad some 30 years ago and my grandfather had given him the bottle years before. Still just as smooth now as then. Wish I could get it in Canada. Have to wait for the relatives to bring it over me. Worth the wait.

It tastes pretty good, strong with the smoke and sea salt. I had a headache after a couple shots too many and I didn't notice any Speyside character (as advertised). Nice bottle.
