The first peated whisky in Bunnahabhain's core range. Like the limited edition Toiteach that came before it, Toiteach A Dha (which means 'smoky two' in Scots Gaelic) is a smoky single malt with a sherry twist.
Matured in both bourbon and sherry casks, with a higher sherry influence than Toiteach, this is a delicate mix of smoke and sweet sherry fruit.Tasting Notes (1)
Tasting notes from the producer
Intriguing peatiness with hints of sherry and oak.
Immediate warming peatiness drifts to a sweet oloroso sherry influence with rich oak, balanced with delicate pepper.
A robust length.

As with all 'bunnys' a bit of water turns this into golden cream.Peat and sherry in perfect harmony.Heaven!
Delicious smokey raisen flavours . Great gift for fathers day
A sheried peat monster. Full, intense & lengthy, excellent 4.5/5.
Intense peat smoke. A touch of tarry rope. Impressive in a classic Islay style. Big flavours.
In my most recent dram of this malt, I get the smoke in the nose and in the oral cavity, but it isn't strong enough to register on my palate. The berried-honeylike sweetness is immediate upon arrival for me, whether neat or more prominently, after just a drop of water. This is a full, rich and textured malt and a drop of water just parses-out all of those distinct layers. This dram aerated nicely with water and sent warm waves throughout my body, tantamount to a loving hug from a trusted friend.
