Nose
Proper Scottish porridge – a pinch of salt and rich oats – stirred through with a spoon of decadently sweet Strawberry jam and sprinkled with raisins.

Creamy and chocolatey, with the porridge of the nose dusted with cocoa. Soft spice builds – cardamom and cinnamon – with rich hot chocolate and squashed raisins following.

Very short aftertaste.

Bought a bottle about 6 months ago. Tried it. Didn't like it. Left to sweat. Just revisited with a small ice cube and much prefer. Apple and oats. Cinnamon in background. I have no idea why people mention smoke as I taste none. An autumn whiskey for sure.

One dimensional, the flavor and finish dissipate quickly

Straight forward, fruit quickly gives way to softness and the lasting flavour is smokiness. I think the smoke will definitely divide opinion. I enjoy it.

Bought the sample to start to try enjoy the slightly smokey whiskys. Wasn’t that impressed myself, but then again I’m not a fan of smokey whiskys. Wasn’t much else going on other than smoke and salt.
