The fruit of Dalmore's experiments with casks from around the world, this port wood reserve marries Dalmore's weighty whisky with thick port-cask fruit and spice. Matured first in American white oak bourbon casks, it is then finished in port pipes from W&J Graham before being bottled at a punch 46.5%. Creamy and fruity with controlled sweetness.Tasting Notes (1)

I think may have just bought the last 12 year old Dalmore bottle of scotch in Michigan that was 100% aged in Sherry Casks for 12 years. I see the new stuff is aged in White Oak Barrels for 9 years then transferred to sherry casks for the final three years of aging. I'm sure it's going to taste great and it's a wonderful Birthday Gift for my son who just turned 30 years old today.
It is fantastic but I was curious as to the age of maturity it reached before bottling?
I have recently found Dalmore whisky and the Port Wood Reserve is excellent
Love Dalmore and this one is excellent. Very smooth with a delicate complex of tastes.
One of the subtlest Dalmore whiskies in the Dalmore range. The notes of chocolate in taste and aroma really push through. Lingering after taste brings out the coffe and fruit tastes. In summary another 5/5 rating.
