    • Aroma

      Sweet and savoury: dry-cured meats glazed with luscious apricot jam combines with rich vanilla notes. Flashes of softly swirling peat smoke complement the delicious sweetness.

    • Taste

      Bursting with juicy tropical fruit - pineapple, kiwi, and banana - brushed softly with icing sugar. Light touches of malt and vibrant lemon peel balance the sweetness.

    • Finish

      Long and luxurious with hints of sweet marshmallow toasting over gently smouldering bonfire embers.

    I love Islay whisky for the usual, peat and smoke, and this one doesn't betray the trend. What it adds though is a lovely balance of sweetness with it, one that doesn't exaggerate either side. The port cask thinggies don't do it for me, they feel too artificial and over the top on sweetness, making the drams out of kilt-er. This one walks that fine line with confidence and elegance. A beaut.
