Method and Madness whiskies are all about experimentation, and this certainly fits the bill – single pot still whiskey matured first in first and refill American oak casks before being reracked into Hungarian oak. The oak's tight grain means that it doesn't give up its character easily, but over the 11 months it spent in the casks, the whiskey has pulled out subtleties untasted from other types of oak.
