Product Description

Another anniversary bottling for Delilah's! It's almost like they have a birthday every year... This special edition celebrates the Chicago bar's 25th year and owner Mike Miller has worked with Compass Box's John Glaser to create a suitable follow-up to their 20th birthday bottle. This takes some of that original edition, further aged, and combines it with a variety of other whiskies, including lots of sherry-matured spirit. The result is creamy and fruity with a backbone of dried fruit and spice.

Tasting Notes

Tasting notes by Billy Abbott
- Nose
  A sea of spiced vanilla cream with bobbing sultanas and raisins. Orchard fruit notes of apples and pears with a dusting of nutmeg follow, along with a touch brioche.
- Palate
  The vanilla is back, sat on top of a layer of brown sugar and spice: cinnamon and nutmeg. Milk chocolate raisins and hints of clove develop, but are held back from dominating by the creamy vanilla notes.
- Finish
  Barley sugar and sweet spice fade to leave almonds, hazelnuts and a hint of apple.
- Comment
  This isn't the sherry bomb I expected. Instead it's a development of the first Delilah's still showing the whisky's approachable character while adding in a layer of carefully balanced darker notes.
