The punchy, overproof version of the incredible collaboration between Jamaica's Hampden Estate and legendary Italian bottler Velier. It's a single pure rum (distilled in pot stills at one distillery) made with wild fermentation, matured in the tropics and bottled with no added sugar or colour. The result is a spirit that not only still has the character of the molasses it came from, but is packed with intense estery fruitiness. It's what rum fans have been asking for for years: it's finally here.Tasting Notes (1)
No Added Sugar or Flavourings
Roasted banana and pineapple lead. Gentle clove and nutmeg follow, along with a touch of expressed citrus peel and candied lemon zest. Barley sugar, crunchy caramel and spun sugar develop, along with rich butterscotch.
Intense fruit: pineapple, apple, pear, mango and papaya stewed down into a thick jam. Clove and cinnamon notes build, with buttery pastry and darker notes of liquorice. There’s a gentle hint of coal smoke hiding at the bottom.
Big spice and tarred oak. That fades to reveal butterscotch and mint.
A shy nose conceals an intensely fruity palate. If you get past the fruit, there’s even more going on, with spice and some dark smokiness. A complex rum that requires more attention than the lower-strength version.

Superb. Coconuts, slight mint, pineapple, engine oil. A bit rougher around the edges than the Velier bottlings, but not at all in a bad way. Excellent value for money!
