A 15-year-old Tomintoul, this has all the hallmarks of 'the gentle dram' – easy-drinking, malty sweetness with light, nutty notes – with the addition of that Peaty Tang; a light peatiness, manifesting here as woody smoke, and all run through with a fresh mineral note. Very nice indeed.

This seems to take the already beautiful signature Tomintoul taste and smoothness, adds a peaty smoke hit without losing the existing taste or character. A well rounded easy drinking whisky. One of the best lightly peated whiskies pound for pound
