    john Hudson,

tried one of these in a pub in Cumbria, it was awful but then i got info to the opposite so i bought a bottle. i was really surprised as it is quite a mellow, sweet on the nose, slightly woody dram. methinks someone in a Cumbrian pub hast pulled a fast one, this is definitely the whisly i was served in said establishment.

    Mike,

Smells and tastes exactly like a hospital ward, avoid.

    Wisconsin outdoorsman,

Yes. Affordable speyside single malt. NOT heavy on the smoke/peat. nice & mellow. One of my favorites along with Dewers 12yr blended.

    PJ,

A decent dram, smooth with gentle flavours of Heather citrus & toffee in that order. The spirit is prominent in tasting but I wouldn't add any water, still a good introduction into single malt whisky.

    Lisa,

I bought this on a whim because it was more affordable than Glenfiddich 15 solera, I was really amazed at how wonderfully smooth and supple the texture was, and how rich and noteworthy the nose compared to the Glenmorangie 12 I have open. I have been enjoying this bottles evolution as it mellows even more with air, and I found it needed no water to soften. Highly recommended to those with a new-to-scotch palates.
