A very old-school genever from the Netherlands, made using 100% malt wine, the rich grain spirit that gives genever its weighty character. While most genevers are lightened with some neutral spirit, this limited edition from Old Duff isn't, and its heavy and flavoursome character is unlike almost anything else out there. Excellent for making very classic cocktails – in the mid-1800s, this is what genever was – or just on its own.

Similarly to my review of Old Duff Genever, this is even better, but less botanicals(what I thought to be anise and green tea, it's for sure the Juniper, because it's the common ingredient in both, or a characteristic of the maltwine), and a little more spicy. Unaged, 100% maltwine, delicious. Well done Phillip Duff, the so called "purist" regarding the essence of the real Dutch Genever, I'm with him and his thoughts about transparency and essency of the things. I'm very glad to have experienced this art. Thank's God, Phillip Duff and everybody who, in many ways, contributed to make possible to me drink this beauty.
