Using both their own vineyards and trusted other growers in the Wairau Valley, Cloudy Bay's winemakers have overcome a difficult harvest to produce a delicious wine with flavours of juicy stone fruit, lemongrass and a refreshing minerality. The finish is impressively long.
Cloudy Bay was established by David Hohnen in 1985 and helped propel Marlborough to be New Zealand's most famous wine region. Cloudy Bay is named after a body of water discovered by Captain James Cook on his 1770 voyage to New Zealand, given the name by Cook to reflect the water's opaque appearance.
