Distilled in 2012, this Swiss single malt has been aged in an ex-Chardonnay cask before spending seven months finishing in a single ex-Cardeira red wine cask. The nose is malty and sweet, with aromas of red berries, apricots and caramel breaking through the intense fresh malt aromas. The palate is sweet and fruity to begin with, notes of fresh vanilla, marmalade and sweet grapes appear instantly before toasted oak and a darker, fruity note develops. The finish is long and lingering with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. This limited-edition whisky is presented in in an elegant decanted inside a stylish wooden box.
