Huddart has a mellow, smoky flavour alongside the classic Old Pulteney maritime character. The palate also holds notes of vanilla, honey and rich caramel.

Harsh and young, smoke is very gentle but compliments the briney twinge, it feels like an almost unpeated Talisker

Quite a smooth dram despite being young whisky, the smoke is a little anonymous I feel, calling it gentle would be an over statement. Quite rich initially with the classic Old Pulteney hit of brine but the finish is very subtle. A solid bottle, boosted by its proof but more in the £30-35 range. If the whisky used in it was a little bit older it would be a smashing dram.
