From the Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection, this is a Kentucky bourbon finished in American brandy casks for up to two years. The nose is slightly woody, with aromas of chocolate, cinnamon and light caramel. On the palate there are notes of raisins, figs and ripe banana, with spicy gingerbread and heady caramel and vanilla notes. The finish is gentle and woody, a long lingering finish that doesn’t overpower.

One of my favorite Kentucky Bourbons. Since we moved to Palm Beach, it's so very hard to find and source locally. It's a bit ironic that I have to cross the pond to get it, but it is so worth it. The customer service is also top notch as there were difficulties in the shipping, but everyone pulled together, and the order arrived safely.

I thought the Pinot Noir finish was nice until I tried this one. Smooth and with a lighter taste it just has the edge on the Pinot. Well worth a try if you're open minded to cask finishing. Will definitely buy again.
