Our very own single-cask Arran single malt, filled into a sherry hogshead just a year after the distillery started production. This 22-year-old whisky has enticing aromas of crème brulee, sultana, bittersweet orange and cigar box, while the deliciously seductive palate has flavours of walnut, figgy pudding and wood spice, alongside a silky texture. Exclusive to The Whisky Exchange – one of the delightful things we've bottled to celebrate our 20th anniversary.

    • Nose

      Rich and sweet sherry cask notes: sultanas, plump raisins, spiced sponge cake and candied orange peel. Lighter orchard fruit notes build: stewed apple, apple strudel and poached pear. Sugared almonds emerge, along with zesty lemon and a hint of fino sherry dryness.

    • Palate

      Thick cream stirred through with mixed berries: raspberry, blackcurrant and strawberry. Raisins and spice follow, balanced by a touch of bitter char and sour cherries. The spice becomes malt loaf, although sweetness is controlled. Rich and dark notes of fruit cake and black bread are joined by molasses and black liquorice.

    • Finish

      Liquorice and spice fade to leave stewed apple, raisins and damp leaves.

    • Comment

      An excellently-balanced Arran, with sherry notes and the distillery's classic fruity character in harmony.
