Made in 1998 at Ardmore distillery, this Highland single malt has been matured in a single hogshead for 20 years, before being bottled in February 2019 for Elixir Distillers' Single Malts of Scotland range. A mellow, smoky whisky it has gentle aromas of toasted brioche, apple pie and sweet heather honey. The palate offers notes of cloudy cider, earthy peat smoke and roast pork with apple sauce.

    • Nose

      The smoke is subtle, complemented by the sweetness of toasted brioche buns, apple pie and mead. Some heather and hay bales as well, reminiscent of late summer in the countryside.

    • Palate

      Cloudy cider, smoked pork belly in apple sauce and honey-glazed root vegetables. These savoury-sweet notes shortly develop into tobacco, warm breadsticks, new wood cabinets and menthol.

    • Finish

      Mild peaty notes linger, combined with pine needles, cumin seeds and soot.
