Tasting Notes by Tim F

Immediately noticeable uncooked runner beans, then a surge of white pepper and spices (clove, cinnamon), hints of tea and citrus, buttered new potatoes and a cream soda aroma. With time some apple and floral notes appear. Complex for a blanco.
-
P
Immense, mouth-coating pepper rush with some residual sweetness (white chocolate?) and the legumes from the nose lurking in the background. Boisterous and assertive without being harsh, although the huge pepperiness may be too challenging for the faint-hearted. 100% pure, fresh, in-your-face agave character.
-

Long and spicy. The sweetness comes forward to round things out as the pepper slowly fades.
-
C
The essence of agave. If you don't enjoy Tapatio Blanco, then you just don't like agave and you might as well give up drinking tequila, because this is exactly as a blanco should be.

Bright, exuberant agave notes burst forth with every mouthful. Tequila will never be my favourite tipple - that’s whisky - but this is a fine example of the tequila-maker’s art.
-
Super clean taste. Works the best in cocktails of any tequila I have tried, but also drinkable on its own. Definitely should be your go-to tequila for cocktails in my opinion. Can't even stand the oakiness and other distractions that come with anejo tequila in drinks any more.

This is a great tequila in this price range. Smooth, sweet, peppery and lots of agave flavor. Can be sipped or shot, and makes outstanding cocktails. I am no Patron-hater and I think Patron makes a very good quality blanco tequila...but at about the same price this tequila has a lot more to offer IMO and is definitely worth a try.

My first exposure to a great Tequila. Initially not blown away, very peppery at first, quite smooth but the finish goes on forever! Very vegetal and complex. Keeps going on the palate for ages. Interesting first exposure to a proper agave Tequila.

The Best Blanco. My favourite.
