Deanston 18 Year Old
A Perfect Measure sample of 18-year-old Deanston single malt matured in first-fill bourbon casks. The distillery’s characteristically honeyed, fruity character is turned up to eleven and supplemented by the fresh tropical flavours, and rich, airy vanilla notes of American oak, all married and mellowed by a long, 18-year rest. Fantastic stuff.

It's a solid 3 stars considering age and price. Enjoyable dram, wouldn't go out of my way to get it again.

Well deserved whisky of the year. Will be hard to beat. One of those bottles that are there for special occasions

It’s a seriously good whisky. And at such an affordable price. On the nose I get vanilla shortbread. Mouthfeel is almost oily, with a good tingle of tanin. The taste has something reminds me of stewed apple, sweet but not overly so. Finish is long sandalwood. If you take a sip of water soon after, you can taste it again. It’s the kind of whisky I’d save to give to someone who thinks there’s nothing worth drinking outside Speyside.
