My husband enjoys a snifter of whisky as a bedtime drink. (I, unfortunately, have never acquired the taste!) This has been bought as a Christmas present for him so as yet has not been opened. I’m sure he’ll enjoy it so I’ve rated at five stars in anticipation.

Underpriced - I guess I should not say that! Smooth, full, at the risk of getting literary, no bravado, just class and substance. If you like Balvenie Caribbean Cask for your ever day whisky and Highland Park 18 for that special sunny day or moon filled evening, Tomintoul 21 is for special occasions. No, I do not work for them, I have sample so many whiskies, this is my favorite other than Lord of the Aisles, and well, when my first novel is published, I will open that bottle.

Excited about this when nosing but ultimately a bit beige. Woody and peppery on the palate. Inoffensive, a bit like a Saab.
