    i cannot believe you can nose this straight at 60.1% abv without adding water. sweet brown sugar, burnt toffee, sweet coastal notes, heavily smoked fatty sausages, fried eggs and onions, glazed sultanas, yellow fruits and honey. Mouth feel is full and oily and flavour explodes in the mouth. Adding water increases flavour and complexity. Smoked fatty sausages and seaweed. Toffee, brown sugar, charred caramelised wood and soft spices on the very long finish. What a pity they add E150a colouring to give it a fake brown/orange suntan. Otherwise, simply perfect.

    Haven’t tried the whisky yet but the service from Whisky exchange was excellent, far better than ordering direct from Laphroaig.
