A 15-year-old Glenallachie single malt, matured in a combination of Pedro Ximenez and oloroso sherry casks, creating a smooth, rich character. Aromas of raisins, butterscotch and sweet spices fill the nose, and the palate offers notes of dark chocolate, orange peel, banana, raisins and caramel.

Brought this home for my husband while visiting Scotland a few months ago. He says it’s the best sipping whiskey he’s ever had and Texas men know their whiskey!
I've had the pleasure of trying a range of GlenAllachie whiskies, and the 15yr old was by far my go to of the bunch, absolute cracking dram either neat of with a splash of water.
Not nearly as uptight as I was led to believe. From the first pour you can tell that there is a good whisky in here.Mind you,as you progress down the bottle it really hits it's stride. The long finish makes one glad to be alive.Choccy heaven 4.25/5
I bought this whisky not in the UK so what I ended up paying for it was allot more then I would have liked to pay but nevertheless the whisky didn’t disappoint. I was very impressed by the almost reddish color of this whisky. I could taste some spice but overall I found it to be certainly on the sweeter side I usually don,t like a whisky as strong as this one with %46 ABV which can leave a burning or strong feeling in the throat when drinking it or after drinking it but this whisky surprisingly didn’t do it that much just a little bit but it’s a good whisky and certainly pretty smooth I definitely like it. just because I am a little more comfortable personally with a slightly lower ABV I added on the 2nd sip just a tiny little bit of water and I found that to open up the flavour a bit and just to take out the slight after burn I tasted after the first sip. But either way this is still a great whisky. Just a personal choice to add a drop of water or not.
