Matured in ex-sherry casks for 12 years, this rich, elegant Tamdhu holds aromas of cinnamon rolls, orange candy, fresh oak, raisins and faint traces of mint. The palate offers notes of banana, raspberry jam, malty biscuits and toasted oak, before developing into ground cinnamon, dried fruit and Scottish tablet flavours that linger in the finish.

    First of all on a technical point one of the nicest presented bottles going around. It’s a beautiful colour whisky and it’s sweet. Personally it has a slightly strong taste for a whisky of only %43 ABV when first drinking it comes on strong initially but the strong taste leaves fairly quickly. It’s overall a nice whisky.

    I have to be honest I’m a big Tamdhu fan. I’ve enjoyed the 12, 15, and batch no. 4 and they are all incredible. The quality of the casks really does show. The 12 yo for the money is an absolutely beautifully crafted whisky made by people who really know their stuff.

    This is a damn fine dram. Loved the 10, the 12 is fantastic, worth every penny. Very smooth to drink and can definitely pick up on the tablet taste!
