Product Description
Re-released in autumn 2019 with a new look, Arran Quarter Cask has been matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in American oak quarter casks for a further two years. A full-bodied single malt, it balances aromas of creamy vanilla and cinnamon against bold, peppery spice. The palate offers notes of honey, coconut, pineapple and vanilla, alongside black pepper, ginger and oak spice.

I like this more than the 10 yr and thats a great drink. I love the sweetness and then a dry finish, just a great malt. For me one of the best N A S drams out there.
Fantastic whisky, powerful, yet delicate and enticing. Good fun, Ive purchased same backups!
Full disclosure, I love this distillery and will always have one of their expressions in my collection. In my opinion Arran produce some outstanding expressions and are probably one of the best distillery's out there at this point in time. I read a few reviews saying this was too woody, I will agree that it is cask heavy but in the best possible way. This has all the classic arran notes, the tropical fruits, mango, guava jelly, honeydew melon, waxy lemon, as well as that ever present quality toasty malt that holds it all together. But beyond the classic arran profile, we have this spectaclar quarter cask influence, tree sap, fresh Christmas tree when you first put it up in your front room, cinnamon, all spice, loads of tannins. with water it becomes incredibly oily, clearly a quality spirit. Because it is relatively young it does not have a lot of secrets, but what it does bring to the party is so worth the price point, I reckon it stands head and shoulders above many other malts in the same price bracket.
This whisky will pick a fight with you. Less like a peat monster boxer but a chess master that knows kung fu. Buy it or find a way to try it. It’s worth it either way.
Really enjoying this one, quite dry so benefits from some water to open it up but lovely sweet notes on the nose and smooth tasting.
