Exclusively matured in sherry hogsheads from Jerez, Spain, Arran Sherry Cask is an elegant single malt with rich layers of fruit and spice. Aromas of ripe figs, black cherries, cinnamon, crystalised ginger and raisins fill the nose, and the palate offers notes of dark chocolate, figs, mandarins and baking spices.

Up front OK, but the finish is musky/dusty, kind of unpleasant.
There is no age attached to this whisky, probably only 5 to 8 years on it. Not the sherry cask taste I was expecting, a good dram of alcohol but nothing else. if you want a value for money sherry cask, with full flavour has to be the Glenmorangie 12 Year Old Lasanta.
Magnificent chewy sherrybomb that is delightfully smooth and powerful. Great mouthfeel - sweet on the uptake, orchardy on the finish
Just full power alcohol and absolutely no taste. One of the worst things I have ever tried
If your looking for a Sherry bomb, this is not it. That being said it is a delicious dram. The whisky in it is only around 7-8 years old. I cant help but feel an extra couple of years of maturation in sherry cask will take Arrans malt spirit on to the next level. This feels like a teaser. With that being said, its a fantastic malt. Dont skip buying or trying it because of my opinion. Its well worth trying, just not the Sherry monster you expect from the name of this expression. Please Arran, take this up to 10 years of age, i feel those extra years will really turn this into something special, and plus it then gets an age statement.
