A blend of column still and pot still rums from Cockspur's distillery in Barbados, matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. Aromas of dark chocolate, orange zest, coffee, prunes, sultanas and sandalwood fill the nose. The palate offers notes of coffee and chocolate, orange juice, raisins and orange zest.

    I am a whisky drinker but thought I would try a proper rum for once. This is a wonderful drink. So many beautifully balanced rich flavours and it is very smooth. Please enjoy it neat as something to sip and savour. I fear a mixer would drown this lovely taste.

    Cockspur Gold is the closest International Rum they have made, nearly matching their on Barbados VSOR brand, still a very good try and well worth the money.
