I used to drink the red Stolichanaya every day when I visited friends in Belarus. Perfect with smoked pork and hot soup - all day long. But... I tried the gold Stolichnaya when I returned to Denmark as it should be even better and more smoothy, and I have to be honest - I was very disapointed. Just a plain vodka with a sharp aftertaste of alcohol, nothing else and not worth the extra money. I enjoy the red in the future.

I have to agree in terms of bang for buck this can't be beat! Smooth yet flavourful and not ridiculously expensive. It is infused with a type of rose but it doesn't effect the flavour, just makes it rather smooth.

Pound for pound, I think this is the best value vodka you can buy. It's smooth but still has a good character, unlike some other brands. The Elit is excellent but for my money it's got to be this every time.
