Fantastic blended whisky, superb malt on the nose, plenty of flavours, just a hint of smoke & a lovely sweet finish, a great scotch.

Along with Bells, Famous Grouse and JW Red, this is the whisky you see most often. Its good enough stuff for mixing or swigging when you, or your wallet at least, are not in the mood for a single malt. You can actually taste some cask notes in this if you smell hard enough

Smooth and tasty without much smoke, Fine sipped neat.

This is just kind of ok, in the same way that Lamb’s rum is ok and Jim Beam bourbon is ok. There is far worse to drink, and far better. If I’m feeling poor, I’ll get it and enjoy an economical drop as a nightcap.

No. No. Again. No. Pure ethanol. Tastes like fiery salt. Great as a base for a cocktail with numerous ingredients of varying flavours and viscosity.
