I had high hopes for this but unfortunately I prefer the original. I find the original to be perfectly balanced when mixed with tonic, by that I mean it’s spicy, sweet and almost a little savoury. For me I find it’s that combination that makes it so easy to drink. I had high hopes for this new version but unfortunately it didn’t deliver. It seems like a dryer gin when mixed with tonic, so you get more spice but less sweetness and I’m sure for some people that would work vs the original, I’ll stick with the original.
