A limited-edition single malt from Tomintoul, Seiridh was matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks before being finished in first-fill oloroso sherry casks from Andalucia, Spain. Rich aromas of sultana, butterscotch and candied pecans fill the nose. The palate offers notes of sweet dried figs, Christmas cake and cedar spice, developing hints of chocolate-covered raisins, dried fruit and liquorice that linger in the finish.

Tomintoul Seridh (sherry) - not much sherry influence to the eye, on the nose or to taste but, that said, this is a decent version of Tomintoul at a fair price. A Glendronach it is not but it is a sherry finish for a few months rather than having been matured for the whole time in sherry casks. It is a very smooth, fruity whisky with a long sweet finish and I must say that I have enjoyed every dram so far.
