A creamy, fruity single malt from Caperdonich, matured in first-fill barrels for a quarter of a century before being bottled as part of the Secret Speyside Collection. Aromas of blackcurrant jam, milk chocolate, pear and hazelnut fill the nose, complemented by notes of cinnamon and ripe blackcurrant on the palate.
Caperdonich distillery was dismantled in its entirety back in 2011, making it not only closed, but firmly lost. As part of the Secret Speyside series, no fewer than six individual bottlings of Caperdonich single malt whiskies are now available to buy.

It’s extraordinary. Unbelievably well casked in ex bourbon American white oak So creamy & sweet vanilla it must be 1st fill. Yet has this amazing nose and taste of exquisites BBQ smoke as if cooking the finest Japanese tepanyaki beef. I never liked Peated whisky until I discovered this one by accident. Speyside Peated! Islay watch out - but don’t panic as it’s a lost distillery!
