Product Description
A fruity, tropical rum from Planteray, made using traditional techniques and locally-grown Fijian sugar cane. Initially matured in bourbon casks in Fiji, this rum is sailed to southwest France where it undergoes a secondary maturation in French oak casks. Aromas of pear, apple, banana, gooseberry, nutmeg, vanilla and a wisp of smoke fill the nose. The palate offers notes of vanilla fudge, prunes, coconut, honey and ginger.

Beautiful bottle of rum. Definitely no mixer needed. Lovely on its own or with a wee bit of ice. Possibly my favourite of all the plantation rums.
Was so looking forward to this. The aroma was delicious; everything I would expect of a tropical island drink. Unfortunately, somewhere between glass and mouth that aroma was lost and the remaining taste was of base spirit with something unidentified added. Sadly, it ended up in a batch of pseudo-cocktails just to get rid.
This really is a fantastic bottle of booze. I made the mistake of mixing it into a cocktail for my first taste, while it was delicious, this rum really deserves to be sipped straight. Ordering my second bottle shortly.
Great rum for cocktails. A drier style when sipped with plenty of oak, ginger and wood spice gives way to rich ripe tropical fruit notes when mixed longer. Banger!
Took a punt on this, didn’t even know Fiji made rum but my word it’s superb, worth twice the price. I bought for mixing but I’m actually just draining the bottle sipping it neat. Lovely drop.
