Pleasant enough at first sip, but lacking that certain something on greater acquaintance

I much preferred the Amarone cask finished Arran to this. For myself, the finish does little to improve the whisky. It's not terrible and you could sip it fine. It's just ok especially when you consider the usual excellent whisky that Arran puts out.
