This rare 18-year-old Lowland single malt from the closed St Magdalene distillery was distilled in 1964 and aged in sherry casks. Bottled in the 1980s by independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail as part of the Connoisseurs Choice range, this rare, old-style malt offers notes of cooked oranges, jam, coffee and toffee on the palate.

Until 1983, St Magdalene distillery was located in Linlithgow, in the Scottish Lowlands. Due to the overproduction of malt whiskies and a drop in demand, it was one of many distilleries that closed in the 1980s. During its operational year, St Magdalene was also known as Linlithgow and primarily produced whisky for blends.
