I came across this in our local pub which has a range of nearly 200 spirits. It made me curious since I tried it I haven’t looked back. It has replaced the more familiar bourbon whiskies I used to favour. For me the range of flavours that unfold with a good sip are fascinating. Highly recommended!

Had a taste of this in Mexico. It has the tequila note, not quite smooth and has a hit of a burn. Honey vanilic. It’s alright.

On the nose, tequila, leather, and furniture polish. There are flavours of corn, honey, black tea and cream. It has a long peppery finish. I would say it is still a little bit rough around the edges. Certainly different and unique and will be a good conversation starter although opinions will be divided.

I bought this for my dad as a Christmas present, whose pretty much tried everything on the planet, in the hope I might strike it lucky with something a bit different, this was his comment after sampling it on Boxing day... "Hi. Have now sampled the Mexican whisky, and can confirm it is fabulous. Just like a top notch single malt from Speyside. Very smooth. What a find!" Coming from my dad, that's a big thumbs up.
