Edradour 2010 10 Year Old Sherry Cask Signatory

If you were to see this whisky in a glass would you think it was whisky or red wine? The colour of this whisky is truly astounding. I bought my first bottle because of the colour and the next 3 bottles because of its taste. The colour might put some people off because they would not know what to expect as I did not. However, I found this whisky incredible approachable and very moreish. After some experimentation I settled for 1 unit of water for every 4 units of whisky. I little water rounds off the edges and makes it that much more approachable. The nose is good but the palate is better. The finish is medium length and very pleasant. Not a complex whisky but a very enjoyable every day tipple.
