A fruity, clean and polished malt with a touch of honey and spice, Aberfeldy 12 Year Old is an excellent introduction to this Highland distillery. Aberfeldy's main claim to fame is as the heart of the excellent Dewar's blend but whiskies like this are putting it firmly in the spotlight.Tasting Notes (2)
Tasting Notes by Stuart P
Fresh and fruity – freshly cut melon, green apple and pear – along with hot toast and honey with a sprinkling of freshly grated nutmeg.
Lovely smooth texture, with rich honeyed fruit freshened up with crisp apple notes. Gentle, sweet spice adds to the complexity. Very drinkable.
The rich mouthfeel lingers, with the honeyed fruit lasting longest. Good balance.
A lovely dram that will please lovers of fresh, fruity whiskies.
Producer's Tasting Notes
Full, golden yellow.
Almost incense-like, heather honey with a fruity softness, notes of pineapple, toast and cereal. Syrupy, lingering on the tongue like a liqueur.
Full flavour, the perfume characteristics become more spicy, with a bitter hint of Seville oranges in a decidedly dry finish.

I like it, being on a budget this is good tasting. It has replaced Dewers white label
One of the best whisky around , the tour is also very good.
This is a good Scotch. I prefer other 12 year old single malt scotch over this, but it is still a good drink. I find it is better (blasphemy) over ice.
I bought 2 bottles with the expectation of it being a close race to the aged 16 year bottle. Only difference I was told to expect was smoothness that you can expect with age. However it's not the same but still a good pick although I may not buy it again because I think it tastes a lot like Dewers aged 12 years blended Scotch whick isn't even a single malt. Anyhow it's not a bad choice at all. I just like the older, smoother, and sweeter stuff.
