A 2009 Blair Athol single malt from independent bottler Elixir Distillers, matured in a batch of five ex-bourbon hogsheads for 11 years, before being bottled in 2021 as part of its Single Malts of Scotland Reserve Casks series. Aromas of fruit-and-nut milk chocolate, shortbread biscuits, cinnamon and buttery spices fill the nose, complemented by notes of ginger snaps, honey-chocolate truffles, caramelised cashew nuts, aniseed and sticky fudge throughout the palate.
