For the record, James Bond's Vesper Martini called for the now extinct Kino Lillet, NOT for the less bitter, updated Lillet Blanc. If you're looking for a Kino Lillet substitute, consider Cocchi Americano??
This is what I call the thinking person´s Dubonnet but that´s unfair to Dubonnet which is delicious to begin with. Lillet Rouge is not as obviously sweet and is a bit more tannic than Dubonnet. Both make an excellent Rob Roy variant (blended whiskey and either Lillet Rouge or Dubonnet added 1:1.). I can recommend Lillet Rouge as a pleasant alternative to any of the better red vermouths.
