The 2020 release of Talisker Distillers Edition was distilled in 2010 and matured in oak casks. Aromas of soft peat smoke, sea breeze, heather, black pepper, chocolate-covered raisins and lemon fill the nose, complemented by notes of sweet sherry, prunes, Christmas cake, dark chocolate and rich peat throughout the palate.

Bought as a gift. Arrived on time and extremely well packaged
The Distillers addition I find is one of the smoothest drams I’ve had ,As a whisky drinker for more than 6 decades I tend to ignore reviews, For the price I can’t see how anyone would be disappointed with it ,
Have not tried actual product yet but the packaging was immaculate and prompt as usual. The hip flask will be put to good use though.Probobly Tali10 to break it in properly
I bought the 2020 batch, and after days / weeks of review-ing I find this a little bit disappointing. Everybody was giving this 4-5/5 stars and it's also Horst's top 5 whiskies and for some employe @ TWE.com Talisker is said to have consistent batches over the years, I'm not arguing about that. But.. It's just a 10 year old whisky, it's good.. balanced.. smoke / bourbon / sherry. But I couldn't feel the pepper note as they were saying, I felt it by drinking the 18 though. The 2017 batch were availible last january here, I just wish I would have grabbed it. Oh man.. But for a 10 year old whisky, it's rollin. Rich flavours going on. But I would save your money and go for the 18, it's less sherried but worth it. Unless you can come across with older batches of this type and write about it?
