It's smooth and refreshing, but the mastiha flavour is milder than what I like and used to get in Iraq decades ago; sadly it was discontinued a long time ago.
Extremely versatile and can be used as a sub for gin, vodka or tequila in various cocktails - Great in a negroni, marg or bloody mary.
Very versatile white spirit
I purchased this last Dec. from you and I find the taste good but not great. I like to drink a shot after dinner or with coffee. The problem I have with Axia is the aftertaste. ... it is harsh and very bitter with a slight petroleum taste that lingers for a while. I have tasted various Mastiha liquors while in Greece and some were also bitter. Here in the USA I can only compare it to what I have on hand- Psychis Distillery Mastiha Of Chios which to me had a much smoother taste and no lingering bitterness. To be fair .. mixing Axia with various drinks, reduces or eliminates the bitterness but as a single drink ... not so much!
