About the Lions
The British & Irish Lions are the greatest touring rugby team in the world. Combined British rugby teams have been touring the Southern Hemisphere since 1888 and today the team continuing the tradition is mostly comprised of players from the four national teams, although uncapped players can also be selected. The Lions tour happens every four years and in 2021 involves eight matches, three of which are Test matches against the reigning champions South Africa.
