A deep dive into the relationship between sherry and single malt. The use of ex-sherry casks to age whisky dates to the 18th century, when these unique fortified wines were all the rage in Edinburgh and Glasgow. With this tasting pack we examine the broad spectrum of flavours imparted by different types of cask and styles of sherry – from powerful first fill oloroso butts to fresh and salty fino casks.
