Collection 242 is dominated by Chardonnay which was very high quality in 2017. With notes of ripe orchard fruits, baked apple pie and a long lingering finish it is perfect as an accompaniment with seafood in a rich sauce.
This is a new Cuvee for Louis Roederer replacing their Brut Non Vintage. They have really improved the quality on the blend by adding more reserve wines in, using a lower dosage and are working with a smaller number of growers. Dawn Davies, MW
