A spicy, lively rum from 4X50, made with sugar cane molasses from a Fairtrade-certified collective of farmers in Mauritius and matured in a combination of Pichon-Longueville casks and Ysper oak casks. Aromas of spicy white pepper, caramel, ginger and orange zest fill the nose, complimented by notes of exotic fruits, smouldering logs and grassy sugarcane.
The rum council
The 50 in the 4X50 name refers to its council of chefs, sommeliers and drinks experts, who all give the rum’s producers the benefit of their palates and expertise. When complete, the council will be comprised of 50 members who between them share 100 Michelin stars. Notable members at present include Eckart Witzigmann, the first German chef to be awarded three Michelin stars, the multi-award-winning sommelier Aldo Sohm and Andreas Caminada, the youngest chef in Europe to be awarded 3 Michelin stars.

Fans of eaux-de-vie may already know Reisetbauer through the spirits he makes at his eponymous distillery in Austria. Founded in 1994, the distillery aims to produce spirits that go beyond the traditional idea of schnapps and express their base material in a pleasurable and beautiful way.
