Quite an interesting dram. The description suggests strawberry and raspberry, but it's mora about their leaves than berries. A very subtle fruit or berry aroma. Instead this whisky offers a rather mighty caramel / toffee note, which is, to my taste, revealed in the whole cloud of dough taste on the palate. Alternatively, there is a distinct layer of something botanical - leaves, plants that follow that 'dough' or even 'bready' taste. To my surprise I fell a bit of brine - clear without a hint of peat or smoke. Maybe tha influence of core Jura malts. The aftertaste seems a bit sherried which is a surprise, but let it be the red cask, or, broader, grape wine effect.
