A full-bodied, rugged whisky from Laphroaig, this is the 14th edition of the Islay distillery's ever-popular Cask Strength 10 Year Old single malt. Bottled in 2021, aromas of sweet biscuits, smoked cedar and Manuka honey mingle with pipe tobacco, old leather, candle wax and hints on vanilla on the nose. The palate offers notes of burnt oak, barbecued marshmallow, toffee, sea salt and Belgian caramel waffles, as well as roasted coffee beans, sticky toffee pudding and white pepper, wrapped in waves of peat smoke.

    Big and bold. Very smokey on the Palate, ashy and salty too. There's a lovely underlying richness/sweetness there too which balances things out really nicely . I prefer this 1 neat .

    These are always very good with the same peat/maritime character as the regular strength 10 yr old. There is an added toffee/vanilla presence from the bourbon barrels in addition to the peat smoke and salinity, which makes for an exceptionally well balanced experience at such a high abv. Highly recommended. Laphroaig has really put out some excellent limited editions over the past few years.
