A pair of rums from the Hearts Collection, made in collaboration between Appleton Estate and independent bottler Velier, distilled in 1984 and 2003, and bottled in 2021.
The 1984-vintage rum offers aromas of black pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, lime, marmalade and vanilla that fill the nose, complemented by notes of coconut, orange, oak spice and tobacco throughout the palate.
The 2003-vintage rum offers aromas of orange peel, treacle, toffee, dark chocolate, oak spice and Christmas cake that fill the nose, complemented by notes of honey, vanilla, chocolate, toffee, ginger, citrus and soft smokiness throughout the palate.
